Today I’m proud to announce that we’ve joined the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP). MAPP is a program from the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) that provides vulnerability information to security software vendors in advance of Microsoft’s monthly security update release.

This is great news for our customers. Mutual customers of Aorato and Microsoft can now receive improved Active Directory-related protections to secure against Identity Theft and other APT threats much faster. This means that if there exists a vulnerability in Active Directory, for example, in the authentication or authorization processes, we’ll ensure that our customers are protected much sooner than when the public is notified.

But there’s more. As we also receive vulnerability information pertaining to various Microsoft products and technologies, not directly-related to Active Directory, we feed this information into Aorato’s Directory Services Application Firewall (DAF) learning capability. Consequently, the DAF will be able to detect attacks that attempt to exploit different known vulnerabilities within the enterprise network and alert on this suspicious activity.

This partnership is a strategic one demonstrating Microsoft’s confidence in the route that we’re taking and the value we’re providing our customers. This partnership aligns with the trust that top-notch investors have placed in the Aorato brand and our continuously growing customer-base. We look forward to expanding our various partnership activities and delivering a comprehensive security solution that seamlessly integrates within each customer’s environment.
